Optical Design Engineer

JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for engineers in the design and manufacturing of micro-optics.

Under the technical direction supervision, you insure the optical design of micro-cameras in the light manufacturing technics, materials and specifications of customers

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analyze the needs-based on "Design Rules" in collaboration with the application Engineers
• Designing optical elements according  to the specifications of clients while taking into account the cost
• Create the files produced by incorporating masks and the necessary tools to products designed,
• Work closely with teams of engineers' process', Production and Marketing to identify the needs for new products.
• Establish and provide specification sheets for the production,
• Provide leadership in meetings of Design Review; internal and external,
• Stay updated of all the latest developments in the industry of micro-optics (design, construction, materials, and performance).
• Keep up with all the new capabilities of automated equipment and characteristics of new designs.
• Follow the development of new optical materials and study competition.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Have ideally more than five years experience in the design of optical systems and / or micro-optics;
• Expert in ZEMAX modeling tool, and software Labview, Matlab, Solidworks
• Good competence in opto-mechanical
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes of micro-optics: FTM measurement, bonding, replication, lithography
• Thorough knowledge of the needs of product reliability and technical analysis of defects and problem solving (CPS Methods, Design of Experiment)
• Experience in project management.
