Nemotek has appointed Global Alliance Inc., a Japanese consulting and business alliance company as its business development partner for the Japanese market

Rabat, Morocco -- A Morocco based start-up, NEMOTEK TECHNOLOGIE S.A. announced today that it has appointed Global Alliance Inc., a Japanese consulting and business alliance company as its business development partner for the Japanese market.

Youssef Benmokhtar, Marketing and Business Development Director of NEMOTEK states that “We are delighted to work with Global Alliance Inc. and to build together our businesses in Japan, where as you know, many leading image sensor companies are based and to whom we can provide our state-of-the-art wafer-level packaging and optics services and/or fully-integrated wafer level camera module manufacturing services for their image sensors.”

NEMOTEK TECHNOLOGIE S.A. is the world’s first licensee for bothOptiMLTM WLO (“Wafer Level Optics” makes possible the manufacturing of thousands of lenses simultaneously on a semiconductor wafer) and SHELLCASE® wafer-level packaging technologies from Tessera Technologies Inc.
This unique portfolio will allow NEMOTEK to put to market a new generation of cost effective and ultra small cameras (Wafer Level Camera) for mobile phone, laptops, automotive and many other applications.

NEMOTEK expects to begin volume shipments of its Tessera technology based offerings in May 2009, with a planned capacity at full volume of more than 85 million wafer-level Optics stacks and 144 thousand wafers for Wafer Level Packaging. The company plans to start delivering its Wafer Level Camera Module demonstration system for the customer’s evaluation in early 2009.
